Yesterday, I posted a new video on YouTube. The video is part of my vlogging series on Suavington’s channel. In the video, vlog episode #3, I talk about one of my favorite exercises: push-ups! I explain in the vlog that I recently kicked off my personal workout program by doing several sets of push-ups. I also discuss why I like to a high number of sets and reps throughout the day.
Over the next couple of months, I plan to transform my body. I need to lose some weight--and get rid of my unwanted belly fat. I plan to vlog about my progress in upcoming vlog episodes. In this episode, I explain that the right mental state, cognizance of energy, high-repetition and high-set workouts, and adequate rest have been the key for me.
I have wanted to vlog for a long time, but I never got around to doing it. I decided that I had put it off too long, and just started recording myself on video. I am excited about being able to express myself on video and chronicle some of my life. Well, in this first vlog episode, I am vlogging in New York City. You will see me cook an Ethiopian dish for my wife, share how I spent the day with her, and I talk about my wanting to vlog about, among other things, tech and fitness (my fitness journey).

A little over a year ago, I wrote a blog post as a long-overdue update to a previous blog post sharing my desire to get fit again. Unfortunately, I did not get around to making it a public post. Here's what I said in that May 26, 2016 unpublished private post

Yesterday, my wife and I had lunch at Yards Park in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood of Southeast Washington, DC. Yards Park is a spectacular part of the riverfront area. I love the scenic views of the Anacostia River, the charming boardwalk, modern sky bridge, serene water fountain and shallow pool, the sprawling green grass, and the numerous sitting areas and spots for recreation and performances.
This artwork is of a fictional tribe of telepathic cyborgs who have colonized a distant moon. In my mind, these beings are remarkably different, but they contain the same magical spark that exists in the present human race.
Merriam-Webster contains simple and full definitions for words in its online dictionary. The dictionary’s simple definition of an artist is “a person who creates art.” That implies that anyone who creates a piece of art is an artist. After all, art is essentially the tangible manifestation of imagination, and we all have an imagination, right? So, of course, any person who uses a medium to express something imagined could be called an artist.
I have been getting acquainted with a drawing app that I believe will help me create more artwork and transition from traditional drawing to digitally sketched artwork. I am used to creating doodles and sketches on notepads and on miscellaneous pieces of paper that I find in my home. Over the years, I never really maintained or organized my illustrations. Consequently, I lost, damaged, and discarded a lot of my drawings.
